Mirage ES tops all 28 cost-of-ownership categories
Mississauga, Ontario, July 24, 2018 – One of Canada’s most affordable vehicles, Mitsubishi Mirage ES, took home the Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada Award in the Subcompact Hatchback segment for the third consecutive year. The Mirage ES rose to the top of the segment by having the lowest cost of ownership in all 28 measured lifecycle scenarios. Categories included fuel costs, insurance, maintenance, depreciation, repairs and financing.
With a starting MSRP of $10,998, the 2018 Mirage ES has four price lines to choose from including the fuel-sipping Mirage ES 5MT and Mirage ES CVT with Continuously Variable Transmission. Key safety features come standard on the Mirage including standard rear view camera, brake assist system, active stability control, anti-lock braking system and Bluetooth cellular phone interface. The 2018 Mirage ES CVT has a combined city/highway rating of 6.0L /100 km fuel efficiency*.
To determine the 2018 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada™ award winners, Vincentric performed a detailed cost of ownership analysis on over 2,400 vehicle configurations based on typical use in a commercial fleet. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 10 provinces plus the Northwest Territories using 28 different lifecycle cost scenarios and eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs. Winners were identified by determining which vehicles had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios for its segment.
Also a repeat winner, Mirage G4 ES returns as the Subcompact winner of Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada award. Mirage G4 had the lowest maintenance, repair, and insurance cost in its category. Mirage G4 was also the 2018 Vincentric Award for Consumer ownership in the Subcompact Car Category.
