Since its launch in Canada in 2010, Mitsubishi RVR has been a vanguard in the subcompact segment helping to introduce the small SUV category to Canadians. It has stood the test of time and continues to be valued for its AWC, affordability, reliability, fun-to-drive handling, and the world’s best warranty – all top purchase reasons in Canada. To date close to 59,000 RVRs have been sold in Canada. It is the third best-selling Mitsubishi Motors nameplate globally with 1.32 million units sold in 90 countries since its debut.
“RVR is our number one selling nameplate. As an entry-level SUV, RVR has done the important job of introducing new customers to the brand and these customers are staying and growing with Mitsubishi Motors,” said Juyu Jeon, president and CEO, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. “We believe with its new bold, rugged look, Canadians will want to revisit why RVR has become a Canadian favourite for Mitsubishi.”
Two-thirds of RVR customers purchase Mitsubishi Motors vehicles as their next vehicle purchase and 20 per cent of those customers have decided to repurchase RVR.
Line Up and Pricing

New Design
RVR model year 2020 has under gone a major design change under the concept “impact and impulse” with a strong and tough image. The front view is the latest evolution of MMC’s Dynamic Shield front design concept. The bumper embraces the central protective shape from both sides and the squared and horizontal and vertical line treatment of the grille and the skid plate under the bumper expresses strength and toughness. The new styling makes the hood deeper, adding to the presence projected by the front end. And the distinctive LED lighting layout, which locates the turn signals and fog lamps at the ends of the bumper, stamps a Mitsubishi brand look on the front end.
At the rear RVR uses LED rear combination lamps (except turn signals) in a sharp-looking design that stretches across the width of the car and accentuates the wide stance. The skid plate styling of the underside of the bumper projects a look of strength.
New Colours
Customers can choose from three new colours, the intensely brilliant Red Diamond, sporty and energetic Sunshine Orange and sleek, refined Oak Brown. Black, white, silver, grey and blue continue to be colour options.
All Wheel Control
Drivers have the ability to choose how engaged the AWC system is. There are three settings available at a touch of a button, optimizing your preference between fuel economy and Four-Wheel Drive capability without compromising safety.
Engine
RVR is available with a choice of 2.0L or 2.4L MIVEC 16-valve engines mated to the INVECS -III Continuous Variable Transmission. Both two and four-wheel drive versions are available.
