● Mitsubishi Outlander gas model was top-selling nameplate after significant refresh

MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 9, 2026 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) today released its sales results for the first quarter of 2026, and Total Sales results for Fiscal Year 2025, which wrapped up on March 31.
Despite challenging market conditions and the end of production of the Mirage subcompact car, Mitsubishi Motors sold 37,932 units in FY25. It was the second-best year on record in Canada, just 1% behind FY24, when the brand had Total Sales of 38,164 units.
By nameplate, the refreshed and relaunched Outlander gas was the sales leader in FY25 with 12,789 units in Total Sales – a 47% increase over the previous year. Outlander PHEV sold 9,747 units, RVR sold 8,892 units, Eclipse Cross 5,736 sold units and Mirage 768 as the final stock was cleared out after production ended in December 2024. Outlander, RVR and Eclipse Cross all set sales records in FY25.
For the first quarter of Calendar Year 2026, Mitsubishi Motors had Total Sales of 8,761 units in Canada, a 7% increase over the same quarter in 2025. With 3,847 Total Sales last month, it was the best March on record in Canada.
The tremendous momentum Mitsubishi Motors has experienced over the past three years is expected to continue throughout Fiscal Year 2026 with the introduction of a new battery electric vehicle expected to go on sale later this year, as well as a rugged edition of the Outlander anticipated to arrive in early 2027.
