Quebec City, Quebec – March 4, 2018 –Mitsubishi Motors of Canada will reveal the all-new 2018 Eclipse Cross for the first time in Quebec at the Quebec City International Auto Show. Attendees will also have the opportunity to drive the all-new 2018 Outlander PHEV in a free program of safe winter driving called “Winter driving: In control with Mitsubishi Motors” (Conduite hivernale : en contrôle avec Mitsubishi Motors), presented by the professional driver Carl Nadeau throughout the duration of the Show. Mitsubishi Motors will also announce a significant sales agreement with the Government of Quebec for its fleet.
Première of the 2018 Eclipse Cross
In Canadian dealerships in March 2018, the Eclipse Cross combines style, technology and driving confidence under the Mitsubishi signature. The Eclipse Cross contains several new features, such as a 1.5 L turbo engine, a two-panel power panoramic roof, heads-up display (HUD) and heated rear seats.
In Canada, this exceptional vehicle comes standard, because all versions of the Eclipse Cross are equipped with the advanced Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC), exclusive to Mitsubishi Motors, which improves stability on straight roads and in corners by precisely controlling the torque transmitted to each of the four wheels. Other standard features include heated exterior mirrors, rear spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear-view camera, stereo with a thin 7-inch touch screen and smartphone connectivity, compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The starting MSRP for the Eclipse Cross is $27,798.
Coupe styling in a CUV
The coupe-style shape of the Eclipse Cross is distinguished by its wedge-shaped profile with distinct beltline and solid style line, its strongly forward-sloping rear window, its angular hatch and short overhang, as well as imposing wing arches reflecting the image of a high-level athlete.
The front of the Eclipse Cross presents a bold shield design exclusive to Mitsubishi Motors. The concept represents a dynamic shield, visually formed by the black central section of the black grille which alludes to the superior performances of the vehicle. The black section is supported on three sides – left, right and bottom. The dynamic shield underlines the functions of the front end aimed at protecting the occupants and the vehicle.
The uniquely dynamic rear design is distinguished by its almost cubic style, combined with long, high rear lights, as well as the fact that it divides the front-sloping rear window into two sections. When they are lit, the LED brake lights and the centre-high DEL brake light form a unique light bar across the rear, giving the Eclipse Cross a solid and stable appearance.
