Additional appointments and expansion support Mitsubishi Motors’ aggressive growth plans
Mississauga, Ontario – April 25, 2018 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. (MMSCAN) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Vernile to the position of Director, Regional Operations as the company accelerates growth plans following a record close to its fiscal year.
A veteran of the automotive industry, Mr. Vernile joins Mitsubishi Motor’s senior management team with almost 40 years in automotive that encompasses Sales, Operations, Marketing and Customer Service across various OEMs including most recently as Director, Sales for Volkswagen Canada. He will oversee the Regional Operations team, Dealer Development and the Commercial Field Group during an aggressive growth period for the company.

To enhance support of the Mitsubishi Motors dealer network across Canada, the company’s Operations senior team has expanded into three divisions: Quebec, Ontario/Atlantic and Western Canada. Reporting to Mr. Vernile are:
- Daniel Dallaire, Regional Manager, Quebec. Mr. Dallaire has been a key member of the MMSCAN operations team for 15 years.
- Effective immediately, Barb Collins assumes the role of Regional Manager, Ontario/Atlantic. Ms. Collins was employed at MMSCAN from 2010 to 2013 as the Atlantic Divisional Sales Manager. She was at Nissan and most recently at Kia as National Manager, Dealer Development.
- The Western Regional Manager appointment will be the subject of a future announcement.
Also joining the Operations team is Steve Browning who will be assuming the role of District Sales Manager in Ontario effective immediately. Mr. Browning was employed by Mitsubishi Motors from 2002 to 2013 in various roles including as DSM.
Mitsubishi Motors is additionally pleased to welcome Jeff Burton as Manager, Digital Marketing. Mr. Burton brings 12 years of advertising and digital marketing experience, five of which are auto, to the newly created position for the company.
Expanded Head Office
To support the continued growth of the company and additional appointments across the organization, Mitsubishi Motors Sales of Canada has expanded into an additional head office building located at 2100 Matheson Blvd East in addition to its head office located at 2190 Matheson Blvd. East. The company’s corporate staff are now located in two head office buildings and one PDC all located in Mississauga.
